Beach Cleanup Ghana Leadership Team
Kwabena and Prince both grew up in a coastal community in Accra and spent most of their Saturdays at the beach. Over the years they have seen the atheistic beauty of their beaches ruined from plastics pollution, in 2019 through their many conversations about their childhood memories they wonder what can be done to restore Ghana’s beaches. They spent the next few months traveling through coastal communities from western region to the Volta. They identify that they need an innovative approach to clean and maintain Ghana’s beaches and the water bodies.

Kwabena Asibey
MANAGING DIRECTOR / CO-FOUNDER
10+ year oil & gas and renewable consultant experience projects globally. His previous role as a Marine Consultant gave him understanding about the importance of our oceans to the global economy. With the rate of plastic leakage into the oceans ecosystem, he saw the need to build a sustainable business that help mitigate plastic pollution leakage into oceans.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR / CO-FOUNDER
Prince Owusu Ababio is an experience system engineer who’s built IT infrastructure for SME as well as major government project from design to implementation. He has a proven track record managing different teams and delivered success project that worked with cross government agencies.
