At BCG, our cleaning program uses various smart tech alongside our dedicated team of field operators, we are committed to robust cleaning operations at these locations to create a lasting impact by improving sanitation and helping prevent plastic pollution.
We use a mechanical raking system for cleaning the beaches and patented river cleaning technology for rivers. Our drainage trash catcher stops plastic waste from upstream sources from entering the ocean through storm drainage.
Collect
The technology used by us stops and collects floating plastic waste before it gets into the waterbodies and beaches. After this, we collect the waste and segregate it before recycling the waste based on its segregation.
After we remove the trash, we weigh, tag, and seal the plastic to make sure that it is kept separate from other plastic. Next, we segregate various grades of plastics and mixed-plastics and make sure to track every movement. The waste collected, which is not fit to be turned into new products is thermally recycled into energy.
Once segregated, different types of plastics go for particular plastic recycling to minimize waste. Accountability, traceability, and transparency are very important to make sure waste is collected and segregated properly so it can be utilized as a prospective future resource wherever possible.
Recycle
After the plastic waste is segregated, it is then recycled or processed into various products for the plastic manufacturing industry. This process not only cleans the environment but also provides many self-sustaining local jobs.
